Tyler grew up around the trades — his step-dad installed flooring, and Tyler spent his summers right alongside him on jobs, learning early on the difference between work done fast and work done right.
That early start turned into 14 years in the industry, working his way through framing crews, trim crews, flooring installation, material sales, and project estimating and management before starting Tyler Smith Builders LLC to bring that same hands-on, all-around experience to homeowners across the Greater Grand Rapids area.
Today, Tyler leads every project personally — from new home builds and garages to full kitchen and bathroom remodels. What hasn't changed since those summers on the jobsite: showing up when he says he will, giving straight answers instead of sales pitches, and treating every home like it's one he'd be proud to have his own name on.
